Intersection between innovation in imaging and medical research

MethodApplication

The various techniques in biomedical imaging can be employed in a variety of ways in order to diagnose and treat disease. The Biomedical Imaging Institute has been established to encourage the use of different imaging techniques across six medical application areas:

  • Oncology
  • Neuroscience
  • Respiratory
  • Cardiovascular
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Paediatric

This translation from methodology and techniques, to application in medicine, is a key aim of researchers in the Institute. Please click on 'Research application areas' in the left hand menu for more infrormation.
