MRC fund a £4.2M research programme led by Bill Deakin and Steve Williams
The MRC have funded a £4.2M programme of research led by Bill Deakin (Psychosis and Mood section, IBBMH) and Steve Williams (Imaging section, Inst Population Health) entitled 'Defining the disturbance in cortical glutamate and GABA function in psychosis, its origins and consequences'. The research will have major implications for understanding schizophrenia and developing new biomarkers and treatments.
