The Biomedical Imaging Institute promotes the development and application of advanced imaging methods in biomedical science.
It spans research activities in many parts of the University and links together researchers and key facilities.
The Biomedical Imaging Institute is a hub for interdisciplinary activity across the University of Manchester. It has been established to encourage use of multi-modal imaging techniques, the development of new imaging methods and the integration of pre-clinical and clinical imaging. Members of the Institute have particularly strong expertise in imaging methods development, neuroimaging and cancer imaging, with rapidly developing activities in areas such as pediatric, lung and cardiovascular imaging.
The Biomedical Imaging Institute hosts a number of events designed for a wide variety of audiences; from one-off seminars on specific imaging techniques and their applications, to broader and more accessible lectures and symposia for those new to medical imaging.
